This cover is a challenge because the author does not want to renounce the added picture to which the contents refer. Because it looks "sad", the frame must be the more attractive. The book acts from the social differences between Europe and Asia, from the different view of the political correctness and of the fact that the author has lived nearly four decades in Asia. The picture is called "Flooding the forbidden city"
Flooding the Forbidden city, Painting of Chen LianQing, in 2008, (Original in the private property of the author)
The artist comes from a town in the Chinese province of Sichuan which was struck years ago by a disastrous flood. The indifference of the authorities in Beijing inspired Chen to a roguish artistic revenge: He "flooded" the „forbidden town“ in the centre of the metropolis on the canvas. The active, happy and witty-cheeky inhabitants of his native country came to Beijing to rejoice in the floods of the capital.
Sarcastic intellectual rebellions against the authority and the imaginative presentation of the state weaknesses is the cultural valve of the avantgarde. One wants to improve the state, but not fall. The Chinese government can count on the fact that her citizens do not pursue the decay of her nation.
China is a region which is held together by her cultural institutions and common social interests. The state serves for the management of these interests. The „mandate of the sky“ is still limited.
The opposite is the case in Germany. Here own state tries to weaken to dilute together with foreign interests, the local cultures and traditions or. As long as to the state and his respective governments have become the indispensable need for the national cohesion and finally the national sovereign disappears „in the voting booth. “
The back text in German and for the understanding in English:
Fiat Justice, peraet Germania was for G. W. F. Hegel in 1801 the most suitable inscription for the legal building of the German state. After forty years of stay abroad, primarily in the Far East, there was for the returned author no better motto for today's Germany.
Though Thomas Bovet found a country with about 80 million citizens, but no nation more.
Political correctness, adaptation and voluntary job of his sovereignty to a European Leviathan decompose the German state which is occupied only with his power preservation.
Irrational social programmes, rearrangement slogans and a stupefying humility position should buy the favour of a society and simulate the illusion of a state citizen's dialogue.
