At a time when we should be most conscious about how we purchase and consume our food, the meat industry still lags behind when it comes to sustainability—in many cases on account of simple failures that are easy to fix. So much of the animal is wasted because cuts of meat are sold under obscure names that consumers don’t immediately recognize. (How many people actually know the difference between bavette steak or an oyster blade?) And right now, consumers aren’t the only ones who could stand to benefit from an industry shakeup. Subjected to the whims
of large supermarket chains, farmers—the most important but least visible contributors to the system—are not paid enough for the hard work that they do. It’s a needlessly opaque system. On so many counts, this is an industry ripe for disruption.
Nose to Tail Meats has ambitions to do just that. Through a straightforward product naming system, snap-freezing production and at-home delivery process, and by providing farmers more visibility to their customers, Nose to Tail creates a much-needed transparency and efficiency. It’s an innovative project with wide-reaching long-term goals. The company’s interface with the world should mirror the scale of its ideas. N2T needs modern branding for modern consumers— tech savvy types that are accustomed to ordering online. To appeal to those who, like Nose to Tail, care about where their food comes from, a nod to sustainability will be needed threaded throughout. By marrying a sense of ease-of-use with a personal touch, who can help Nose to Tail make the farm-to-table lifestyle something no longer reserved for the few, but accessible to all?

We are big on sustainability. Think recycled paper bags, cardboard. Neutral colors maybe with a taste of brighter colors but simplicity is key I.e we would love to just stencil the logo onto the boxes. We are focusing on beef to begin with and moving into other red meats into the future. We have played around with Nova Round Font however let’s see how disruptive and unique a modern, yet still carrying tradition, logo package can look!
