Cat Amazing
Interactive puzzle toys for cats!
I am in the process of creating a second cat toy for my company (the original is at http://www.catamazing.com) - The new one will be similar to the original (i.e. box with hole sin it) - but will be bigger and white instead of kraft, and.. illustrated! Attached is an approximate photo of the blank toy (with mug for scale) - dieline will be provided.
Here are the Illustration guidelines:
- Neat, simple hand-drawn-looking, abstract-ish style (examples below)
- Vector w/ variable stroke/pressure
- Black & white
- Low detail, bold strokes! (will be printed using offset printing method that doesn't allow for much detail)
- Lots of character/personality - as much as can be conveyed using the minimalist style! Expressive, artistic!
- A bunch of different kinds of tropical fish & aquarium creatures (perhaps even a crab?!) to cover the whole toy + some seaweed, bubbles, etc.
- Incorporate holes into the design as possible (ex: bunch of bubbles and one of them a hole, discus fish with hole in the body, etc.)
Here are some VERY LOOSE directional examples - these really indicate more the level of detail, but not the style - the style should have a lot more charm & personality -- but still modern & minimalist!

I also drew up a couple in Illustrator myself - can't say I'm happy with them (hence I'm here lol), so again, view for just general sense & level of minimalism... attached.
This should be something to have fun with and make the toy/aquarium come to life! I think once we align on style, it should be fairly quick & easy given the minimalism - just a few strokes for each aquarium creature really - but the style is key!
Please let me know if any questions!
Best,
Andrey
