This is a singe page "control panel" for an industrial process.
It will display the temperatures and flow rates of fluids passing through a heat exchanger. The center piece of the page is an image of the "heat exchange" (see attached). It needs to be prominent in the design.
This will be an HTML page in which the various control values will be updated via a jQuery script ( You only need to provide the design... all coding will be done by me)
At each of the four inlets of the heat exchanger, there needs to be it corresponding "temperatures" displayed, one for each inlet. They are labelled as follows:
Top Left inlet = "Cooling Water Temperature Out (F) YY.Y:
Top Middle Inlet = "Process Fluid In (F) YYY.Y"
Bottom Left Inlet = "Cooling Water Temperature In (F) YY.Y"
Bottom Right Inlet = "Process Fluid Out (F) YYY,Y"
The "YYY.Y" show how many decimal places the corresponding value need to be (i.e. YYY.Y = 781.4).
In addition to the above four values, the following values also need to be displayed in some neat fashion (but do not have to be displayed in a specific place as did the four above). The values are:
"Hydrothermal Stress Coefficient Y.YY"
"Approach Temperature (F) YY.Y"
"Heat Flux (BTU/FT^2/HR) YYYY.Y"
"Maximum Skin Temp (F) YY.YY"
"Tube-Side Water Velocity (FT/SEC) Y.YY"
"Measured Water Flow (GPM) YYY"
"Measured Water Flow (% Design) YY.Y%"
Also, across the top there needs to be five drop-down boxes entitled "Corporation", "Location", "Unit Name", "Exchanger Name", and "Hexeval Ser#".
The page must be exactly 1000 pixels wide.
It can be up to 670 pixels tall.
The page you create will be embedded within an existing page. Attached are screens shots of the page it will be embedded into. Where you see the "heat map" of the USA, the page you design will be placed there instead (the map of the US is just there to show you where your design will go in the overall page). So your design (colors) will need to work well with the host page.
Feel free to redraw or enhance the heat exchanger image. However, if you do, please keep it in an isometric (3d ish) view.
I"m looking for a clean, modern, legible look. It needs to look like an interesting but legible control panel. The majority of the graphic design work will be spent on how to frame and position the text.
The colors and graphics have to work well with the host page.
