I'm a criminal intelligence analyst for the Houston Police Department who created a LLC because I was invited to a conference to teach murder detectives how to perform social media research training. I’ve been invited back again this year to teach about the darkweb. I'm hoping I can impress this audience and hope these police departments will want me to train them at their local police departments (I’ve landed a few this past year).
I specialize in teaching law enforcement officers, criminal intelligence analysts, prosecuting attorneys, and other law enforcement professionals how to improve their online research of people so they can learn information about those people in order to contact them, incriminate them, or learn information that will help them solve their cases. In addition to online research, my second objective is to teach them analysis (hence the company name Research & Analysis Training) techniques such as link analysis (using PowerPoint and Excel), cell phone analysis, bank records, and any type of data mining in excel you can think an officer may have to perform. I even try to teach them how to analyze hard-to-quantify topics such has ranking most violent offenders and ranking how busy a particular officer and/or division may be based on the type of cases they are working.
As an additional component to my business, I have one time been called on as a consultant to visit a police department, interview people, and write a recommendation report on how they can improve their intelligence and investigative units. So I use this training company as a consulting company as well.
I’ve even learned SQL server and may one day teach really advanced analysis to small crowds of really technical people (but that’s still in the words). But my staple products are training courses to groups of detectives and police officers. I’ve also had a private investigator contact me about training so that maybe another audience I start to target my training services to.
