Logo Design: Please create a logo that is simple, bold, memorable, and professional – symbolizing experienced consulting, trustworthy advice, and high-quality solutions, which is what I strive to provide to my customers.
- Do create a logo that incorporates a symbol, along with the company name. Do consider incorporating the symbology into the company name. Since my company serves the maritime industry (in part), appropriate symbols could include globes, sailing knots, anchors, compass roses, nautilus shells, and waves. Do consider using other symbols along these lines. I’m not wedded to the maritime symbols; I’m providing them as acceptable examples. Do consider playing off of the word, ‘Commonwealth,’ meaning ‘the common good.’
- Don’t create a logo with typical safety symbols (e.g., hard hats, tools, shields, green crosses, etc.). Don’t create a lettermark logo with the letter ‘C,’ the letter ‘S,’ or the letters ‘C S S’. Don’t create a logo consisting of intricate, angular lines that is not a recognizable symbol.
Inspiration: See my attachments for company logos that I admire. I admire these logos either for the impressions of the companies that they create in my mind or for the attractive designs. Don’t duplicate these logos and submit them to me. Also, don’t Google an image and incorporate it verbatim into your logo design and submit it to me. I’m seeking to represent my brand with a somewhat unique logo design, not a copy-cat of someone else’s logo design.
Uses: Logo uses will include business card, letterhead, watermark, PowerPoint slide, website and social media, clothing, etc.
