The attached image was created years ago by combining clip art images. While it falls short of the quality I am looking for, it captures the concept. I am appealing to people who are at their wits end with their dog's behavior. I want the logo to be eye-catching and cause my target audience to simultaneously laugh and think "that's EXACTLY how I feel!"
I toyed around with the idea of a making a modified version of that logo that included placing the image within an octagon against a yellowish background. I planned to place "Before you pound 'em..." along the top of the octagon (one word per line tracing along the edge) while "Last Hope Dog Training" would be placed along the bottom. Both the hammer and dog would need to be resized and repositioned because the proportions are a bit off (though the hammer still need to be large enough eye-catching and lead the viewer to the dog). The dog would also need to be modified to enhance his expression (surprise and alarm) and something added to indicate he is skidding to a stop.
That was the idea and I think it has potential.
HOWEVER, I am not a graphic designer and I realize there may be ideas that capture my brand more effectively and that look completely different. At this point, I am very open to other ideas as well as interpretations of the idea I presented above. In a perfect scenario, I would receive interpretations of the idea I provided as well as fresh ideas that capture my branding intentions.
