I am a travel photographer and mainly take images of surf culture and oceanscapes. I have recently started making jewelry with these images and am calling this part of my business, 'Hugger of Seas'. I am donating part of the proceeds of the jewelry to marine conservation organizations.
I need a logo that I can use on my business cards and website. I was thinking that a mermaid or a surfer could be incorporated in the logo, a wave or waves and other marine paraphernalia such as sea shells and/or sea life such as dolphins, whales, starfish, seahorses etc. I would also like the logo to convey that it is a jewelry company and what my jewelry looks like (see attached), i.e. the mermaid could be wearing it, in her hair, in a clam, in the waves. I want it to look surfy/boho/chic/colourful but with a sense of sophistication as well as harmony and love for the ocean. I don't want it to look cartoony. I like the vintage Hawaiian look, oranges, yellows, blues, browns, lots of swirls etc (I attached some examples). I am not sure if 'Photo Jewelry' should be incorporated somewhere yet but I will leave it up to designers to see if it fits in well or not. Because the jewelry is made with photos I've taken, the mermaid or surfer should prob have a camera around her neck or in hand.
Since I guess I am the 'Hugger of Seas'..the mermaid or surfer should resemble me a little (no worries if it is a silhouette obviously) so I attached a couple of images of me. One you can see I have a dolphin tattoo on my upper right chest and a celtic swirl (means to rise above the material world and become one with the cosmos) on my right shoulder.
I have purchased the web domain http://www.huggerofseas.com which will eventually point to my Etsy shop. All of the jewelry images will be taken off my photography website at that point to separate my photography portfolio from the jewelry.

I have chosen select travel images that convey my love for the ocean, conservation, travel, nature, photography, surfing, art and the beauty and goodness this world constantly envelopes us in, to become wearable fine art.
I print, preserve, hand cut and set the image under a domed glass that lightly magnifies the colour and clarity of the image. The piece is allowed to dry overnight before I cut, sand and smooth the paper edges to fit the glass dimensions perfectly. I use a professional grade glaze to assemble the glass dome to the pendant. The final product is allowed to dry before polishing with glass cleaner and placed in an organza gift bag.
