Rigid Lifelines manufactures INDUSTRIAL fall protection systems for various industries including manufacturing, steel production, trucking, mass transit, mining, aviation, and many others. In the USA, companies are required by OSHA law to protect their workers from falls over 4 ft, and our safety systems allow companies to be OSHA compliant. But our systems go further, they provide a safer way to stop a worker who has fallen (see http://www.rigidlifelines.com/ and click on "See the difference"). Our systems not only save workers from death, but also from serious injury.
Our R&D department has designed a new product called the "Anchor Trolley". This new trolley is a patent pending design that will replace our existing trolleys. A worker hooks his fall protection lanyard to our trolley and the trolley rolls along inside an enclosed track, allowing him to walk and do his job while he is connected to our fall protection system. If the worker would happen to fall, the Anchor Trolley clamps down, in a sense bites the track. Because the trolley has wheels, when a fall occurs, the worker would typically roll along the track after a fall because of the momentum the fall created. However, with the Anchor Trolley locking onto the track, he is stopped right where he is with no rolling.
