We have a pretty strong vision of what we want in our logo. Here's what we are looking for:
Minimalist, rounded-yet-not-cartoonish line drawings of two NON-HUMAN characters that directionally indicate a baby/toddler girl and boy without being cliche or overtly gendered. Jessy (on the left) should be shorter and subtly female, Jack (on the right) should be taller and subtly male. Please no girl/boy cliches. We also don't want to be locked into a particular theme (like "jungle animals" or "robots") so we want a "mismatched" set of characters. A robot and a bird would be cool. A princess and a pirate would not (gender cliche, human, matchy matchy). The pair should be forward-facing and holding hands. We envision full-body characters but are open to alternative treatments. We need to be able to embroider these two characters on a square inch of fabric in a single color, so really strip it down to the most basic elements! But we want it to be immediately obvious what the characters are - so please don't make it anything too subtle that people would have to stare at it to "get it."
Below this we would like the text "Jessy & Jack" in a no-frills script font that scales well, such as the free-for-commercial-use "Jenna Sue," which is classy, round without being too bubbly, very clear, and scalable. It will be readable on a tiny care tag and also look nice in a large size.
We would like each component of our logo to be able to stand on its own when necessary (e.g. text-only on a care tag, graphic-only on the bottom right corner of our bibs to subtly represent our brand, together on paper garment hang tags, web site, business cards, etc).
