We are planning on launching a new webstore called jewelersbazaar.com . It will be a wholesale jewelry components e-commerce site that sells beads, gems, pearls, tools, supplies, wire, chain and findings to some of jewelery's top designers. We currently have a website called BellaFindings.com . Don't get swayed by the current logo or colors, as we are planning on doing a complete overhaul of the look of the website, its just so you can get a sense of what it is we sell. But the logo should look like something that we can build a website around.
Our customers are mainly Los Angeles based jewelry designers. Many are nationally known, and have their designs featured in the most prominent fashion magazines (and they have the attitudes that go along with that). Most are females between 30-50, and have the interests and sensibilities that you might expect from fashion forward los-angeles based fashion designers.
With that said, we are still a wholesale company and are not focused on having an overly flashy or loud logo to draw a large retail audience. We are more trying to convey trust and legacy between us and our clientele (we have been in the LA community for 25 years).
Part of the reason we settled on the name JewelersBazaar is that our store is very much a spot where items from all over the world are brought for sale. These items create a collage of colors from gold and silver, to ruby red, sapphire blue, emerald green, pearl white and so forth. We have colorful items from china, the US, italy, brazil, and europe, so the store becomes a collage of colors and pieces. It very much is reminiscent of the collage of colors in a spice stand at some bazaar where items are brought from all over the world. This idea does not necessarily have to influence the design of the logo, but it was just a thought i had.
Also, some basic symbols of the industry would be a lobster clasp and an earring setting. These also do not need to be part the design but could help in the process.
