Most of the audience is made up of men. There are two general types of prospects: oil men and landmen. The oil men are those who invest in oil wells and finance drilling. Landmen are the guys who negotiate with landowners to buy the drilling rights on their land. Their goal is to strike more deals with landowners and purchase the rights to more land.
All of them have maps on their office walls and when they purchase the rights to the land they color the maps in with yellow squares. Their goal is to get more yellow squares on their maps.
So with that in mind we'd like to have a logo created with the name Forte (there is an accent on the e) Productions and the yellow boxes. We're thinking that Productions could appear in a large yellow box. And above it in the white space around Forte, there could be smaller yellow boxes.
Please note that we may have to use a yellow/gold color so it stands out better.
We do welcome other ideas. However, we want to stay away from the traditional oil rig images.
