Ironhand Security is a global security services provider based in Washington DC but can deploy anywhere in the world, regardless of threat or level of infrastructure. We are not only expert trainers for others in the areas of military, law, and security operations, we also deploy our own employees provide those types of "on the ground" services.
Meaning of the name: Ironhand was the military callsign of a late family member when he was in the military.
Prefer more subtle logos than obvious ones. We've recently decided that we do not want a big fist or a very obvious hand/fist in the logo. Initials are ok ("I" and "S", or even "I", "H", and "S") to be used in the logo, as well, but want a logo to be able stand alone. Unless very unique, do not want a logo that includes the entire company name of Ironhand Security.
UPDATE: Believe we want to move away from any design with a fist or hand unless we are presented with a really creative design that does not include a very prominent/obvious fist. We've realized it is too "aggressive" for what we want to portray. Our idea is "security through peace" and the fist is too heavy-handed and aggressive for what we want to portray.
Having said the above, there is no requirement at all to use initials in the logo. Being a security company, want the logo and color scheme to represent a strong but dignified organization. Our employees are professional, distinguished and respected in their fields and by their peers...a strong professional and mature logo is best.
Prefer not to use a shield-shape as a template since that is very common in the security industry.
We are a global services company so like for some kind of reference to global reach or ability to operate anywhere, anytime.
Will refine the brief as options are presented.
