Who we are:
We are a website dedicated to teaching high end mixology and cocktail techniques to bartenders and cocktail enthusiasts.
What are we advertising:
An online course called "The Cocktail Design Masterclass"
It's an intensive, 9-week course with videos, written content, homework and additional resources.
It's designed to help bartenders and enthusiasts skip the frustrating process of building cocktails by "trial and error" and follow a framework to build great cocktails every time.

We have purchased advertising space in the program that will be going out to all attendees of the 2014 Tales of the Cocktail conference in New Orleans. VERY specific requirements have been provided by the publisher, so please see the attached Ad Specs document for specific details around size, file formats etc.
I have also attached the digital copy of last year's guide so you can get a sense for what the overall program will be like. If you look at this website (http://talesofthecocktail.com/tales…tail-2014/) you can see that they are likely following a similar "cartoonish" format to their marketing this year.

Ideally, the ad will find that delicate balance between simple and sophisticated and eye-catching.
Simple & Sophisticated:
This is an expensive high-end course, and we want the ad to set the tone.
This is the program for the conference, and it's print media - so people will not be looking closely at the ads, they'll just glance through it.
We want people to see this ad, and at first glance think: "Oh wow, they are talking to ME."
