We provide usability consulting services, statistical analysis, survey design and analysis to software companies and websites. For example, we are hired to run a usability benchmark study on a website like PayPal or Walmart.com to tell the client how long it's taking users to complete tasks and what should be improved.

The homepage needs to highlight recent articles (published weekly), our services and highlight our clients and a snapshot of services and products.
People come to the website to read new blogs and articles on usability , statistics and UX issues. Many readers convert to customers and clients.
The internal pages are largely for content. They need to be able to support advertising (on the right rail) and support calls to action for newsletter signup, posting comments and navigation. The 2 column layout I have now on (for example) measuringusability.com/suprq.php works well for blogs, calculators,products and service pages. But I'd like those to be cleaned up-especially the right rail where I include a lot.
I've included my current logo. It's already on my business cards and stationary. It's a greek letter mu--which in statistics is used to represent the average but it's also to represent the initials of the website (measuring usability = MU) so I'd like to stick with it and hope it can be incorporated into the design
My readers are usually in software, design, web-development and most are User Experience professionals. They work at large companies or design agencies and use the website for calculators, tips in articles and trends in usability and measurement. It's around 30% international and 70% US traffic.
