Because this site is essentially being shared by 2 separate (though complimentary) organisations, we want the entry page to be different from most – we’re thinking of an image intensive and attractive home page without tabs or buttons, but with a clear flag of the organisations involved, and images (and a few words re our vision) that make it clear you can click through to either the Women’s Hospitals Australasia site or the Children’s Hospitals Australasia site.
* Home pages
Once you land on either the WHA or CHA home pages behind the shared entry page, you’ll have the logo of just one organisation, relevant images, and navigation bar for that organisation’s content, sitemap footer for both organisations. The same basic structure will apply for both the WHA and CHA sections of the website, but with unique content, colours, and images.
* Content pages
Quick links in the right sidebar, each menu item uses branded icons (in the style of Explore Vimeo sidebar [vimeo.com]). Layout suggestions for advertising positioning (standard ad sizes), we want advertising to be secondary to content. E.g. placement in the sidebar, below the main content etc. We currently don’t have advertising on our website but want to plan for this option in the future.
