Firstly, I have rotated between dark and light sections outlining each of the individual features that this service offers. I feel like this really makes the different sections stand out and bring light to the easier orientation for the user when it comes to navigating the website.
When it comes to the illustrations, I used cards and diagrams to outline the features if the website, while also making them feel like they are a part of the website’s internal UI design. This is a newly advancing approach that is more commonly used in the landing page space because it connects everything much better and brings everything together in a much more compact way.
These are pretty much all the more interesting design decisions I’ve made — I really feel like the overall concept of the design is a really nice, modern, futuristic and idealistic approach to a field that already has a lot of competition.")

I'd say I've taken a lot of unique and interesting design choices with this one and I have explained my reasoning behind them in the presentation itself.
Overall I think the project is a really nice example of how a health application should look like. The health industry is one that widely has misconceptions and misunderstandings that lead the patient to a lack of knowledge. Therefore a friendly inviting application that's ready to explain everything in simple terms is crucial for capturing their interest.
This is done through the explanations inside of the app, but also through the visual language. Creating a calming, peaceful, and harmonic design is key to unlocking the potential behind all the metrics and features that the app provides. Therefore I'm really pleased with the result in the end.")

It was put there intentionally - these are the official World Cup 2022 colors and this is a way to signify that the application is directly related to the World Cup, as the FIFA or World Cup logos can't be used.
For most categories, I've chosen a horizontal scroll to be used so that the user can get to more information as quickly as possible without having to spend that much time looking at everything individually. What I mean by horizontal scroll is, for example, scrolling to the left on the cards in the \"News\" section to reveal more cards with other useful information on them. This is a widely used approach in many modern apps and I think it really fits here, as the app needs to display a lot of information while also not bombarding the user with too much info.")

Nowadays vertical cards are much more common and familiar to the user than horizontal cards like in the previous version. The reason being is that they contain the same amount of information, but are packaged in a neater manner. Using vertical cards also suggests that more offers can be displayed on a single page, compared to a horizontal card which expands throughout the whole width of the screen.
Secondly, I've made some improvements to the map used. I feel like a 3D display of the map greatly improves the visibility of the added pins, which resemble the location of the different offers. I've also made it so that it doesn't take up as much space as it did before, but with an option (button) for expanding the map so that the user can browse the area and get a more precise view of the offers. My main goal for the map was for it to feel like it's actually incorporated in the design and plays a big role design-wise, but also experience-wise.")

And that was also one of the first things I started fixing. Though much longer in terms of scroll time, the website now lays out all of the information in a neat, clean and modern manner, which means that everything important is in front of the user whenever they need it.
I've also replaced some of the unnecessary walls of text with interactive cards, for example, the fee waivers part, where the information consists of multiple points and can be easily divided into different cards. I've followed the same principle with the \"ways of submitting an application\" part, where instead of the given information I've divided it into 3 separate cards with icons next to them indicating the way of submitting an application.")

Throughout the entire design, a big inspiration for my ideas was the Uber app. While straying to add a unique touch and not borrowing too much from it, I can't lie when I say that the existing Uber app played a big role in my design decisions. I've gone with a minimal gray-white solution for the project, adding an accent color for the first-priority elements on the screen (which can, of course, be changed). I've divided the design into \"boxes\", which divide all important elements on the screen into different categories, as to differentiate from them.")

My name is Daniel Simeonov, a freelance UI/UX designer, born and based in Sofia, Bulgaria. My journey with graphic design, in general, began about 6 years ago, though my interest in that particular field appeared a year later. I'm now fluent in UI design, UX research, UX marketing, prototyping, and wireframing.
For the past 2 years, I've been working closely with many clients as a freelance designer. My main responsibility was to bring help to the design process of smaller clients and projects.
